Tax Professional - Franchise Location at H&R Block

As a seasonal tax professional, you will build trusted relationships with clients and provide accurate, compliant tax services.

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face-to-face and via virtual tools (video, phone, chat, email).
• Prepare complete and accurate individual, trust, and partnership returns.
• Generate business growth and increase client retention by offering additional products and services.
• Provide IRS support; act as a tax notice service provider at all certification levels, and audit representation for Circular 230 associates.
• Mentor and support teammates in a fast‑paced environment.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification is preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax.
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership) and conducting virtual interviews.
• Strong tax planning knowledge and audit support experience.
• Sales and/or marketing experience is a plus.
• Comfort using virtual tools (video, phone, chat, email) and effective communication skills.

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment is required.
• Completion of continuing education and meeting all IRS and applicable state requirements.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; higher education preferred.
• Enrollment in or completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment is not an offer of employment.
