Worship Pastor

To develop and promote the music ministry of the church and to lead the congregation in worship of our Lord Jesus Christ.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain Personal Spiritual Walk

* Provide church members and community with an example of authentic discipleship.

* Maintain a consistent program of self-improvement.

* Maintain personal purity.

Oversee The Administrative Needs Of The Music Ministry:

* Prepare an annual music budget reflecting the needs of the entire music program.

* Listen to and evaluate music used (Including its message, musicality, theology etc).

* Oversee the purchase and maintenance of the music library, materials, supplies, musical

instruments, and other equipment useful in the music ministry.

* Communicate upcoming events, rehearsals, etc. with members (which may include articles in

the newsletters, emails, texts, etc. as needed).

* Manage all worship software, subscriptions and licensing (Pro Presenter, CCLI and others).

* Input worship lyrics and announcement slides each week for worship.

Oversee The Music Ministry Of The Church:

* Direct the organization and implementation of a comprehensive church music program

* Plan congregational worship services in coordination with the pastor and other staff.

* Lead Worship at the Morning and Evening worship services.

* Lead Sanctuary Choir and Praise Band Rehearsals.

* Work with elected choir officers on an activities calendar which may include banquets, trips,

and various activities that help promote choir unity and fellowship.

* Assist with music planning and volunteers for special services, such as weddings, funerals,

and other church gatherings and projects.

* Be a resource, recruiter and support for other choirs and ensembles in the church (Including

children’s and youth choirs, praise teams etc.)

* Oversee all aspects of our sounds, video, lighting, tech crews and equipment.

* Work with the pastor to plan and promote special concerts, conferences and revivals.

* Oversee Greeter Ministry and Welcome Desk (including guest bag supplies etc.)

* Act as Care Pastor to those involved in the music program (visit sick, attend funerals etc).

Support The Overall Purpose And Work Of The Church:

* Work with church staff to carry out the programs and mission of the church.

* Assist the pastor in services, office work and visitation when appropriate.

* Follow up with those who have visited our church and turned in a connect card.

* Visit and encourage those who are sick and recovering in our congregation.

* Other duties as assigned by the pastor
