By joining our Project Development Branch, Planning Section as a Transportation Engineering Technologist Supervisor in Hopkins County, you’ll have the opportunity to oversee the work of employees within the Planning Section, review completed work of contractors, manage the collection of traffic data and more.
Summary of Responsibilities- Direct line supervision of the activities of employees in the section.
- Plan, schedule, and supervise workand activities for complex projects under development or review.
- Review engineering plans, manage the collection of traffic data, oversee traffic count tech.
- Estimate project costs and prepare technical reports, organize, conduct meetings, develop plans, and estimates associated with projects.
- Approve planning employees’ timesheets, leave requests and conduct performance reviews
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Experience managing the collection of traffic data.

Additional position information:
Work is performed in the office and in the field. Will be exposed to risks inherent to construction sites and other types of work zones.

Minimum RequirementsEDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree in engineering technology, construction management, engineering science, engineering mechanics, computer science, data science, geology, earth science, industrial technology, industrial drafting, design technology or construction technology. OR Graduate with an associate's degree in Engineering Technology with completion of the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet's Civil Engineering Technology Scholarship Program.
