Process Engineer

Overview

Our client is commercialising an innovative carbon-based anode material manufacturing process and is seeking a skilled Process Engineer to help take it from lab to large-scale production.

In this role, you’ll be the vital link between R&D, manufacturing partners, and compliance teams — ensuring processes are efficient, safe, and production-ready
.

• Design, document, and optimise manufacturing processes for carbon-based anode materials
• Work with external partners to integrate technical knowledge into scale-up plans
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards
• Support scale-up from lab to pilot and full production, including equipment selection and process control
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance quality
• Contribute to facility layout and future process specifications

• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, etc
• 3+ years’ experience in process development or scale-up within chemical, materials, or battery manufacturing
• Experience with carbon materials (activated carbon, graphite) is desirable
• Strong understanding of chemical processing, mass balance, and industrial safety
• Proven track record of working cross-functionally
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
