Job Description:

We are seeking dedicated Young Adult Support Workers to join a leading specialist provider in Cardiff, Wales. This role involves supporting young adults aged 18-25 in homeless hostels, helping them develop independence and resilience within a supportive environment. If you are compassionate, resilient, and committed to social care, this opportunity offers a meaningful way to make a positive impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting young adults in all daily activities and interests
  • Promoting independence and overall wellbeing of young people
  • Protecting young people from risks to their health and welfare
  • Providing emotional and practical support within the hostel environment
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of care plans and safety guidelines
  • Assisting in managing challenging behaviour and minimising incidents
Requirements & Qualifications
  • A genuine desire to create positive outcomes for vulnerable young people
  • An empathetic, caring, and resilient nature
  • At least 6 months’ experience working with children or within a social care setting
  • Valid UK Driving Licence
  • TMVA - Restraint Training Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  • Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to obtain one
  • Right to work in the UK
