Key Responsibilities
• Welcome customers and help them find what they need
• Serve at the till, handle payments and process returns accurately
• Keep shelves stocked, displays tidy and the store looking its best
• Answer customer questions confidently and resolve issues politely
• Support deliveries, stock checks and loss prevention routines
• Follow store procedures for cleanliness, safety and security
• Work as part of a team, helping colleagues during busy periods What Success Looks Like
• Customers leave happy and come back again
• The store looks great, stock is where it should be, and queues move quickly
• Feedback from customers and colleagues is consistently positive
• You can be relied upon, whether it is a quiet morning or a busy Saturday Person Specification Experience
• Customer-facing experience is welcome but not essential — a positive attitude matters most
• Any background in retail, hospitality or busy team environments is useful Skills and Knowledge
• Confident, friendly communication with all kinds of customers
• Comfortable with tills, card payments and basic stock tasks (training provided)
• Reliability and good timekeeping Personal Qualities
• Warm, approachable and genuinely helpful
• Happy to muck in wherever needed
• Honest, presentable and professional on the shop floor What's On Offer
• Salary of £31,000–£33,500 per year
