Accounts Semi-Senior / Senior Braintree £30,000 - £40,000  Bonus A growing and forward-thinking independent accountancy practice is seeking an ambitious Accountant to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ACCA finalist or AAT Level 4 qualified professional with accountancy practice experience to take ownership of a varied client portfolio while supporting the development of junior team members.

You'll work closely with a broad range of owner-managed businesses, gaining exposure across accounts, tax and compliance within a modern, flexible practice that offers genuine long-term career progression. Role Responsibilities Preparing statutory accounts for limited companies. Completing corporation tax computations and returns. Preparing personal tax returns for a varied client portfolio. Managing day-to-day compliance work for a portfolio of clients.

Building and maintaining strong client relationships, acting as a key point of contact. Supporting and mentoring a junior member of the team, helping to develop your own client pod. Ensuring work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines. Working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver an excellent client service. Personal Requirements ACCA finalist or AAT Level 4 qualified as a minimum.

Previous experience working within an accountancy practice is essential. Strong experience preparing limited company accounts. Good knowledge of corporation tax and personal tax compliance. Confident managing a mixed portfolio of clients. Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff would be advantageous. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Proactive approach with a genuine desire to develop and progress within a growing firm. Benefits Hybrid working.
