About the Company

Are you an experienced Design Engineer within the Manufacturing Industry?

Inform3 are recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer with at least 3+ years’ experience in Design Engineering that has an excellent knowledge and understanding of hydraulics and electrical systems.

This is a great opportunity to join a global company who are widely recognised for specialising in recycling products within the Manufacturing Environment.

Duties Include
  • Design and develop mechanical systems and components for industrial shredding equipment.
  • Produce detailed 3D models and manufacturing drawings using CAD software.
  • Ensure designs comply with relevant standards, specifications, and safety requirements.
  • Liaise with production, procurement, and project teams to ensure efficient and cost-effective design solutions.
  • Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and validation processes.
  • Support the introduction of new products from concept through to manufacture.
  • Maintain accurate engineering documentation and manage design changes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across design and manufacturing processes.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrable experience in a design engineering role, preferably within heavy machinery or industrial equipment.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g. Solid Works, Inventor or similar).
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and fabrication techniques.
  • Ability to interpret and produce detailed technical drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to engineering challenges.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
