Manufacturing Engineer

Based in Co Down, our client is a well established engineering business who, due to continued business success, have a need for an additional Manufacturing Engineer. The successful Manufacturing Engineer will focus on increasing efficiency, improving product quality, minimizing waste, and assisting with new product introductions in a fast-paced production environment. We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented individual to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:
Analyse current processes to identify opportunities to improve safety, efficiency, and product quality. Work closely with multi-disciplinary assembly teams to resolve issues and eliminate barriers to production flow. Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and structured problem-solving methodologies Collaborate with assembly teams to design, specify, and implement jigs, fixtures, and tooling that support safe and efficient assembly operations.

Troubleshoot equipment, tooling, and fixture issues to minimise downtime and maintain production efficiency. Criteria:
Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering or related field and/or minimum of 3 years relevant experience Proficient in reading and interrogating engineering drawings and specifications Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.?? Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross functional teams and stakeholders Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines Excellent attention to detail Excellent presentation skills.

Salary is in the region of £38-42k dependant upon experience. The role comes with a range of benefits including pension and life assurance.
