Reporting directly to the Design Manager, this role offers a unique opportunity to work within a modern facility that values expertise, innovation, and teamwork.

About you
  • Extensive experience in the design, detailing, and technical aspects of precast concrete products
  • Proven track record of supervising, mentoring, or leading a team of BIM technicians within an office environment
  • Strong knowledge of structural drafting principles and BIM workflows, preferably with industry-standard software
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects efficiently
  • Effective communicator capable of liaising with internal teams, clients, and manufacturing partners
  • Solid understanding of industry regulations, including Eurocodes and safety standards
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Structural/Civil Engineering or a related technical discipline is desirable but not essential
What you'll do
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of BIM technicians, supporting their professional growth and ensuring high-quality output
  • Oversee and review the development of 3D models, fabrication drawings, and schedules to guarantee structural integrity, visual finish, and compliance with project specifications
  • Coordinate workloads within the team to align with project milestones, deadlines, and manufacturing schedules
  • Act as a point of contact between the design office, manufacturing facilities, and site teams to promptly resolve technical queries and ensure smooth project progress
  • Maintain and develop BIM standards, drafting protocols, and workflows, continuously improving processes for efficiency and accuracy
  • Support the delivery of complex projects from conception through to completion, ensuring all deliverables meet quality, safety, and schedule requirements
  • Contribute to ongoing process improvements and stay current with technological advancements within the industry
