Financial Accountant

Your new role Reporting to the Financial Control & Reporting Manager, you will play a key role in delivering accurate and timely financial information to support business performance and decision-making. Key responsibilities will include:
Preparing monthly management accounts, journals, and balance sheet reconciliations. Managing month-end close activities and ensuring reporting deadlines are achieved. Reviewing P&L and balance sheet performance against budgets and forecasts. Producing board-level reports and presenting financial performance analysis. Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and business planning processes. Analysing financial data and providing clear commentary on variances and trends. Partnering with budget holders and stakeholders across the organisation.

Identifying opportunities to improve reporting processes and forecasting models. Supporting audit requirements and liaising with internal and external auditors. What you'll need to succeed To be considered for this role, you should have: A full professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).

Previous experience preparing management accounts and financial reporting. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. Advanced Excel skills with experience analysing large volumes of financial data. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. A proactive, self-motivated approach with excellent attention to detail. Desirable experience includes:
Experience working within a commercial or industry-based finance environment. Knowledge of forecasting and financial modelling. Experience using ERP systems such as SAP and planning tools.
