Financial Controller

Your new company Hays Accountancy & Finance are partnering with a successful and rapidly growing business to recruit a Financial Controller. Working closely with senior leadership, you will have the opportunity to influence the direction of the business, drive financial performance, and help shape future growth plans.

Your new role As Financial Controller, you will lead the finance function, ensuring robust financial controls, accurate reporting, and effective financial management across the organisation. Key responsibilities will include:
Leading all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting and management reporting Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements Managing cash flow and working capital to support business growth Ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements Leading and developing the finance team Implementing and maintaining strong internal controls and processes Managing accounts payable and overseeing general ledger integrity Liaising with external accountants, auditors and regulatory bodies Providing commercial and financial insight to support strategic decision-making Driving continuous improvement across finance systems and processes What you'll need to succeed To be considered, you will ideally be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with experience operating at Financial Controller level or within a senior finance leadership role.

You will also demonstrate:
