Reed Accountancy & Finance are working closely with a highly successful and dynamic company based in the Magherafelt Area who are recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join their team on permanent, full-time basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous finance or accounts administration experience who is looking to further develop their career within a supportive and growing business.
The successful Accounts Assistant will work closely with the wider finance function, you will assist with a range of accounting and administrative duties, helping to ensure financial information is processed accurately and efficiently.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Assist with the daily operation of the finance department with a focus on accounts receivable transactions.
- Process and maintain financial transactions, including supplier invoices, customer invoicing, receipts and payments.
- Reconcile supplier and customer accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies where required.
- Support banking activities, including account reconciliations and monitoring cash movements.
- Contribute to month-end reporting and finance procedures.
- Provide assistance with payroll-related administration.
- Support the preparation of VAT submissions and other compliance requirements.
- Maintain organised and accurate financial records.
- Assist in the production of management reports and financial information.
- Contribute to improvements in finance processes, systems and ways of working.
- Provide general administrative support to the wider finance team.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong accounts receivable experience
- Previous experience within accounts, finance, bookkeeping or finance administration.
- Strong numerical aptitude with good problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Competent user of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Proactive approach with a willingness to learn and develop.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
