Hybrid - 2 days per week onsite Start: ASAP About the Role We are seeking an experienced SEND Project Manager to support the planning and delivery of an ambitious SEND Reform Programme. Working as part of a dedicated transformation team, you will lead complex projects across education, health and social care, helping to deliver strategic improvements that enhance outcomes for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

This includes supporting the development and implementation of the SEND Reforms, including the Expert at Hand Offer. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Manager with a strong understanding of SEND, programme delivery and partnership working within a Local Authority environment.

Key Responsibilities Lead complex SEND transformation projects using recognised project management methodologies Develop and maintain project plans, milestones, risks, dependencies and benefits realisation plans Coordinate multiple work streams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget Translate national SEND policy and guidance into practical local delivery plans Work collaboratively with education, health, social care and voluntary sector partners Support programme governance, reporting and performance monitoring through programme boards Produce high-quality reports, briefings and dashboards for senior leaders, elected members and external partners Monitor project performance, budgets, risks and resource utilisation Support business cases, funding bids and resource planning Develop KPIs, success measures and benefits realisation frameworks Promote continuous improvement and ensure learning is captured throughout project delivery Key Requirements Proven experience managing complex projects or programmes within education, SEND or Children's Services Experience working within a Local Authority SEND system Good knowledge of SEND legislation, reforms and statutory guidance Strong programme and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple work streams Excellent organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills Experience producing reports, dashboards and performance information for senior stakeholders Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience working across education, health and social care A collaborative, resilient and solution-focused approach, with a passion for improving outcomes for children and young people with SEND
