Our Client, a Yorkshire council is seeking a Children’s Social Worker to join their Fostering Team. Fantastic payrate of £35 per hour! Provide ongoing support, supervision and guidance to approved foster carers to promote safe, stable and nurturing placements. Undertake regular supervision visits and annual foster carer reviews in accordance with fostering regulations, policies and procedures. Assess, monitor and review foster carers' performance, development needs and training requirements. Work collaboratively with children, foster families, social workers and partner agencies to ensure positive outcomes for children in care.
Contribute to placement matching discussions and support carers throughout the placement process. Complete high-quality assessments, reports, recordings and court-related documentation within statutory timescales. Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people, identifying and responding appropriately to risks and concerns. Support foster carers to manage complex behaviours, placement challenges and changing care needs. Participate in foster carer recruitment, preparation training and retention activities where required.
Attend relevant meetings, panels and multi-agency forums, presenting information and recommendations professionally. Maintain accurate case records and ensure all work complies with fostering regulations, legislation and organisational policies. Participate in team meetings, supervision, training and continuous professional development activities. Requirements of this role:
Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England. Must have minimum of 3 year's experience working as a Qualified social worker
