As the Senior Facilities Manager you’ll oversee the operational efficiency, maintenance, and compliance of warehouse and distribution centre facilities at Mercia Park site.
As part of your key responsibilities you’ll:
- Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with internal and external partners
- Drive continuous improvement in the delivery of site services through service partners
- Undertake and manage operational CAPEX projects, ensuring delivery to agreed quality, cost, and timescale
- Oversee the scheduled maintenance programme for site fabric and equipment, ensuring statutory compliance at all times
- Negotiate, manage, and control all Hard and Soft FM service provider contracts, schedules, and KPIs
- Maintain cost-effective and timely management of reactive and emergency repairs to site infrastructure and equipment
- Ensure service partners adhere to all planned preventative and reactive maintenance schedules and contracted KPI's
- Monitor service partners and contractors on site to ensure strict adherence to all health and safety and safe working practices
- Develop and maintain an asset management strategy to optimise the lifecycle of plant and equipment
- Manage the specialist procurement and inventory control of necessary fixtures, fittings, components, and maintenance tools
- Produce and maintain regular reporting and presentation materials, including analysis and evaluation of costs by supplier and category
- Assist with, set, manage, and control the Facilities budgets for the site
- Ensure the system CAFM is accurately monitored and maintained for PPM schedules and records within contract RACI
- Ensure site environmental compliance, manage waste streams, achieve corporate targets, and deliver sustainability opportunities
- Own and deliver the Health, Safety and Welfare responsibility of the "built Environment," including managing MHE training processes and supporting accreditation audits
We’d love you to have the following skills and experience, but please apply if you think you’d be able to perform well in this role!
- Knowledge of engineering services preferred
- Demonstrable experience in similar role
- Demonstrable experience in assisting with, setting, and controlling large-scale operational and capital expenditure (CAPEX) facilities budgets
- In-depth knowledge of relevant current UK health, safety, welfare, and environmental legislation
- Experience in preparing for and supporting internal and external accreditation audits
- Knowledge of End to End Supply Chain process (Desirable)
- Ability to identify potential value streams
- A working experience with industry standards and regulations
- Excellent Customer Services skills supported by good commercial understanding
- Strong team player with a quality focus
- Confident and self-motivated
- A high degree of initiative and strong problem-solving capability
- A self-starter attitude with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities autonomously
