Manufacturing Engineer – Contract to Hire (Furniture Manufacturing Industry)

Salary:
Up to $120,000

We’re seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join a leading furniture manufacturing company on a contract-to-hire basis. This role is focused on improving production processes, driving efficiency, and supporting innovation in design and manufacturing techniques. If you have a passion for process optimization and continuous improvement, this is a great opportunity to make an immediate impact with the potential for a long-term career.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Optimization – Analyze and improve existing manufacturing workflows to enhance efficiency, product quality, and sustainability.
  • Innovation – Support the development and implementation of new methods, tools, and technologies for furniture manufacturing and aluminum-based components.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration – Partner with design, production, and engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of process improvements that meet product specifications.
  • Technology Integration – Assist in the implementation of new systems, automation, and equipment to streamline operations and boost performance.
  • Lean Manufacturing – Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives, applying lean principles to reduce waste and increase value.
Required Skills & Background
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, mechanical drawings, and tolerances.
  • Experience with product design and proficiency in 3D CAD software (Solid Works, AutoCAD, or similar).
  • Familiarity with rapid prototyping and other innovative manufacturing techniques.
  • Proven ability to balance precision, efficiency, and quality in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
