Lab Analyst – Site Quality Assurance Laboratory
Reports to the Shift Team Leader/Lab Manager. Uses analytical methods to provide prompt and accurate testing of industrial chemicals, supporting operational process control, customer requirements, troubleshooting, and improvement projects.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities- Follow all safety rules and actively promote safety through reporting observations, performing job safety analyses, completing safety inspections, and participating in safety meetings.
- Understand, promote, and uphold Basic Safety Expectations for themselves and others.
- Perform routine testing and report final product quality status to manufacturing.
- Support unit production as specified by manufacturing units.
- Accurately input all data into LIMS and record test results in a legible manner on designated forms.
- Check operation of testing equipment, troubleshoot to identify and correct sources of problems, and notify chemist of any abnormalities or maintenance requirements.
- Conduct job tasks in a professional manner utilizing good housekeeping practices and laboratory technique.
- Minimum of 1 year laboratory experience in a technical environment.
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in a STEM field (Chemistry or Chemical Technology preferred, but not required).
- Strong attention to detail and safe work practices.
- Familiarity with GC, HPLC, and wet chemistry techniques.
- Ability to work in a team/collaborative environment.
- Strong communication and multitasking skills.
- Computer skills:
Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and LIMS preferred. - Experience with cGMP and ISO 9001 requirements a plus.
Position requires working a rotating 12‑hour shift. Applicants must be flexible and willing to provide overtime coverage when needed, including evenings, holidays, and 12‑hour rotating schedule days and nights.
