Restoration Technician Water Division

Overview

Service Master CDR is a premier full-service Disaster Restoration company providing restoration services with integrity in Northeast Ohio and Central Texas. Our twelve (12) branch locations are among the top Service Master franchises in the U.S. We offer 24-hour emergency response and can mobilize nationally for catastrophes, including water/mold mitigation, fire/smoke/odor damage, weather damage, contents cleaning/restoration, biohazard/trauma/and vandalism cleanup, emergency board-up and tarping, and reconstruction services.

Service Master CDR is seeking a full-time Water Restoration Technician to join our energetic and dynamic team. This position supports water mitigation services to homes and businesses to restore properties to a safe condition for repairs.

• Respond to jobs and initiate water mitigation according to IICRC and Service Master standards
• Demolition
• Mold remediation
• Set up professional drying equipment properly
• Monitor drying conditions in atmosphere and building materials
• Collaborate with Lead Technicians on completing scheduled losses
• Accurate documentation in job management software
• Daily communications with peers, homeowners, office staff, managers, etc.
• Work effectively within a team environment
• Keep interior/exterior of vehicle neat and clean
• Maintain company image — uniform and demeanor
• Take direction and stay on task

• High School Diploma or GED
• No experience required; training provided for qualified candidates
• Basic knowledge and experience with hand tools
• Good with technology; ability to use smartphones and tablets
• IICRC certifications a plus

• Ability to work overtime, on-call rotation, including some weekends
• Ability to follow direction while taking initiative
• Must pass a FIT Test, respiratory physical, and wear a respirator as needed on job sites
• Hepatitis B vaccinations may be required
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
• Work indoors, outdoors, and in varying temperatures
• Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, and in tight spaces
• Team player who can also work independently
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient with technology (mobile devices, computers, etc.)
• Strong sense of urgency
• Ability to sit/stand/walk for prolonged periods
• Clean driving record, valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation
• Must pass background check
