Staff Accountant - Experienced
Industry: Retail, Consumer Goods
Location:
Mahwah, NJ
Salary: to $60-70K plus bonus
Onsite - 5 days in office
Staff Accountant role with an expanding company and leader in the region! 2+ years’ experience in accounting.
Responsibilities- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and assist with the month-end close and set up new accounts
- Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statements, highlighting variances
- Maintain accounting records for accounts payable, fixed assets and leases.
- Assist outside auditors at year-end
- Prepare monthly inventory reporting
- Maintain financial documents and related supporting documents
- Identify modifications and improvements to systems
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field.
- 2+ years’ experience in public or private accounting.
- Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and MS Project
