Ramapo College of New Jersey invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Teacher Education with a focus on STEM Methods. The successful candidate will play a vital role in preparing the next generation of teachers while also contributing to two signature initiatives: advancing programming supporting Ramapo’s Climate Change initiative and helping facilitate experiential STEM education at the Meadowlands Environmental Center.

This position requires an individual who can design and deliver science and math methods courses that explicitly address STEM requirements in teacher preparation and align with the New Jersey Student Learning Standards (NJSLS), Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), and the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) Standards. The role ensures that pre-service teachers are prepared to integrate science, technology, engineering, and mathematics effectively into K-12 classrooms.

These efforts emphasize sustainability, climate literacy, and place-based learning, and offer unique opportunities for collaboration across the College and with regional schools.
