SENIOR FACILITIES ENGINEER

Salary: $100,000 - $115,000.
Pay Grade: 16

The Senior Facilities Engineer plays a critical role in supporting the project engineering team by ensuring the successful implementation of facility-related projects at the client site. This position involves coordinating with vendors, managing project schedules, and overseeing administrative and technical tasks to ensure smooth execution. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication, organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to achieving project goals.
Key Responsibilities- Vendor Coordination:
Manage and schedule vendors for on-site work, complete check-in/out forms, and ensure quality and timely delivery of services. - Project Request Management:
Track new project requests, communicate with requestors, and perform initial assessments to define scope, timeline, and resource needs. - Project Planning & Scheduling:
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or to align with overall project objectives. - Work Order Management:
Submit, track, and report on project work orders; coordinate with ESFM lead technicians for updates and completion. - Budget & Financial Oversight:
Prepare project budgets, monitor expenses, and manage vendor invoices to ensure financial compliance. - Proposal & Documentation:
Create project proposals, reports, and presentations using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. - Purchasing & Orders:
Process purchase orders through digital systems, ensuring adherence to company policies and budget constraints. - Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with internal teams, including production operations and project engineers, to align facility upgrades with operational needs. - Compliance & Safety:
Ensure all project activities comply with safety standards, site-specific regulations, and legal requirements. - Communication & Liaison:
Act as a key point of contact between project teams, vendors, and other departments to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field preferred). - Experience:
Minimum of 4 years of experience in facilities engineering or a related discipline. - Manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Technical Proficiency:
Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with digital platforms such as Microsoft Teams and One Drive. - Experience with project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Smartsheet) is a plus.
- Project Management:
Proven ability to manage projects from initiation to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and issue resolution. - Vendor Management:
Demonstrated experience managing service providers, contractors, and maintenance teams. - Organizational
Skills:
Exceptional ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively. - Communication
Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interaction with team members, vendors, and stakeholders. - Attention to Detail:
Strong focus on accuracy in documentation and information tracking. - Problem-Solving:
Ability to anticipate needs, identify issues, and implement proactive solutions. - Team Player:
Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
