As a Staff Product Development Engineer in our Research & Development team, you’ll lead the design and development of life‑changing devices that directly impact patient outcomes—solving complex challenges and collaborating across disciplines.
Location:
Must live within commuting distance to the Mahwah, New Jersey office. In‑office presence two days per week with the remainder of the workday remote.
- Design, develop, and verify components and subsystems for medical devices with minimal supervision.
- Translate user needs into design specifications and deliver system‑level solutions.
- Lead prototyping and testing efforts to validate design performance.
- Identify and resolve complex design issues using data‑driven analysis to improve processes and outcomes.
- Apply clinical knowledge to author design inputs and support Voice of Customer sessions.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and mentor others in design control practices.
- Create and maintain engineering documentation, including Design History Files.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Biomedical, or related field).
- Minimum four years of relevant product engineering or design experience.
- Experience designing mechanical assemblies.
- Proficiency in engineering drawing creation and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Experience with Computer‑Aided Engineering (CAE) tools and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles.
