Desktop Support Technician – Mahwah, New Jersey (US)
We are currently seeking a Desktop Support Technician to join our client‑based team in Mahwah, New Jersey. This is an on‑site role; only candidates local to Mahwah, NJ will be considered.
Responsibilities- Ensure day‑to‑day operation of technology applications and equipment by researching and resolving technical problems.
- Provide deskside assistance and knowledge transfer to end users on a variety of computer‑related issues.
- Perform scheduled moves, installations, and cancellations, as well as other MAC‑related tasks.
- Provide level II support for users with a high degree of customer satisfaction, technical knowledge, and timeliness, escalating when necessary.
- Solve technical issues and investigate elevated problems, confirming validity and pursuing known solutions; know when to involve management.
- Use Service Now for issue tracking, ensuring all user requests are accompanied by a ticket and that follow‑up work receives appropriate attention.
- Ensure all tickets are resolved within documented service levels.
- Collaborate with asset management, network services, software systems engineering, applications development, and printer maintenance services to restore service and identify core problems.
- Assist in developing and documenting improvements to current processes, creating/updating knowledge articles and SOPs.
- Provide technology refresh support as needed.
- 3+ years of experience with end‑user support and desktop support.
- 3+ years of experience with Windows operating systems, local/network installation, Internet Explorer, TCP/IP, DHCP, Device Manager, Registry editor, User Manager, and/or Admin commands.
- White Glove support or experience supporting VIPs is a plus.
- Unable to work on feet for up to 8 hours per day or lift items up to 50 lbs.
- A+ Certification highly preferred.
- Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and variable schedules.
- Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle for travel between client offices if necessary.
