Job Description
Sheet metal fabricator and CNC machine shop in Mahwah, NJ seeking a motivated and responsible individual to perform various machining duties. Must have experience with operation of machinery in a manufacturing production environment and be effective multitasking.
Position OverviewThe Machine Shop Assistant will support our production team, ensuring the smooth operation of our process flow. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. This role involves various functions of general shop help as listed below.
Key Responsibilities- Operate machinery – Bridgeport tapping machines, CNC Mill cycle changeovers, brushing sheet metal, saws, blast, etc
- Processing of incoming material deliveries; weigh and process scrap material
- Basic preventative maintenance of equipment – changing of filters, routine cleanings, etc
- Misc - washing, tumbling parts, various duties as needed
- Experience:
minimum 2 years operating relevant machinery in a production manufacturing setting - Knowledge of machining processes and tools
- Proficient in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers
- Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities

- Repetitive tasks in a manufacturing production environment
- Standing for long periods in a manufacturing environment
- Work independently and efficiently to maintain time‑sensitive production schedule
- Lifting up to 50 lbs.
Monday through Friday – 6:00am to 2:30pm OR 7:00am to 3:30pm
