Salary: $24.00 - $28.00 Hourly

Brandywine Living, a premier provider of quality senior living, is seeking a Chef to join our team! The Chef will assist the Executive Chef in all phases of meal preparation and is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of sanitation and safety practices in all phases of kitchen operation, food preparation, and storage.

Responsibilities include preparing salad bar offerings, desserts, and bakery items; maintaining a working knowledge of culinary methods for ingredient preparation and recipe execution; assisting the Executive Chef with meal preparation as assigned; assisting with procurement of food inventory and supplies; properly labeling and storing food items in accordance with safe storage standards; understanding operation and maintenance of kitchen equipment; maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment;

creating and preparing baked food items, breads, desserts, etc.; performing scheduled cleaning of equipment and work according to schedule planned by the Executive Chef.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior customer service or hospitality experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
