Lead Electrical Engineer - Data Center

The Electrical Lead will be responsible for the electrical operations at the data center, including main distribution switch gear, operating and maintaining, repairing ATS, UPS, PDU, SSPDU, RPP, monitoring, and electrical installations.

• Lead a team of journeyman and apprentice level members, managing productivity, safety, and quality control.
• Operate and maintain main distribution and sub‑distribution switch gear, UPS, PDU, SSPDU, and RPP.
• Plan, supervise, and ensure timely completion of electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance.
• Read and interpret blueprints, controls, and specifications.
• Establish and maintain work sequences, schedules, and timelines.
• Prepare reports and maintain records of electrical activities.
• Enforce NEC, NFP 70, electrode PPE, safety procedures, and codes.
• Manage MOPs, SOPs, and job estimates for critical facility equipment.
• Perform visual inspections to determine maintenance requirements and repair methods.

• 5+ years of electrical experience, preferably in an industrial data center environment.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds at times.

• Knowledge of commercial electrical systems, NEC, and local codes; carrying a Master’s license and able to pull permits.
• Military facilities training/certification equivalent.
• Access to all areas of critical facilities.
• Experience with MOPs and SOPs for critical facility equipment.

• Experience in a data center environment.
• Experience managing large facilities and events.
• Experience with ATS, RPP, PDU, UPS, VLA battery.
• Project management experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal communication, supervisory and leadership skills.
• Strong change agent; electrical trade certifications or equivalent military training.
