* Are you ready to make a meaningful impact in the public sector? Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Evidence Purge Assistant to join their dynamic team in Maidenhead. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the efficient management of evidence and property while ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

As an Evidence Purge Assistant, you will play a vital role in the following areas:

Disposal of Property:
Safely dispose of items in accordance with current Evidence Management policies, ensuring all property is thoroughly searched and checked.
Record Maintenance:
Update and maintain accurate records, issuing necessary documentation such as transfer sheets to facilitate audits.
Customer Service:
Handle telephone and personal enquiries, taking prompt action to maintain departmental service levels.
Evidence Collection:
Collect evidence from various locations using a provided vehicle to support local Evidence Management Units (EMUs).
Storage Management:
Maintain an efficient storage system while adhering to Health and Safety and COSHH regulations.

The role involves handling a high volume of property, with an expected output of approximately 500 items per week.

Essential

Qualifications & Skills:

To thrive in this role, candidates should possess:

A good standard of education to GCSE level or equivalent, alongside excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
Strong attention to detail and effective listening skills.
Proven ability to manage substantial workloads and meet deadlines.
Problem-solving capabilities with minimal supervision.
Willingness to undertake training in Manual Handling.
Proficiency in MS Applications and a readiness to learn new technologies and systems.
A full UK driving licence is essential due to the requirement to travel to different locations and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Additional Information:

Candidates will be required to undergo fingerprinting and DNA profiling for elimination purposes as part of the hiring process.
