We are currently recruiting for a Project Planner to join an established project team delivering large-scale, fast-track M&E and critical infrastructure projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for a planner who enjoys working closely with project delivery teams, taking ownership of programmes and using their planning expertise to keep complex projects on track.
The Opportunity
Based from Maidenhead, you will support projects across Slough, Hayes and London, with occasional travel to projects in the Netherlands.
You will work closely with Project Managers, engineers, subcontractors, clients and consultants, developing and maintaining detailed programmes, monitoring progress and identifying potential delays or risks to project delivery.
Experience with in Data Centres, Pharmaceutical, Semi-Conductor, Critical Infrastructure or other technically complex M&E environments would be highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain detailed Level 4 project programmes.
Produce cost-loaded and labour-loaded schedules where required.
Work closely with Project Managers and site teams to ensure programmes accurately reflect progress.
Attend planning, progress and coordination meetings with clients, consultants and contractors.
Review site progress information and produce accurate programme reports.
Review and incorporate subcontractor programmes into the overall project schedule.
Produce weekly and monthly progress reports.
Prepare weekly lookahead programmes to support site planning and delivery.
Participate in weekly pull-plan and collaborative planning meetings.
Monitor key milestones, dependencies and critical path activities.
Identify programme risks, delays and potential impacts on project delivery.
Provide programme analysis to support claims, extensions of time and commercial applications.
Work with commissioning teams to ensure commissioning activities and documentation are incorporated into the overall programme.
Develop recovery programmes where projects experience delays or programme slippage.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date project schedules throughout the project lifecycle.
About You
We are looking for someone with approximately 4-5+ years of project planning experience, ideally gained within construction, M&E or engineering environments.
You should have:
Strong experience using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project or similar planning software.
Experience developing and managing detailed construction programmes.
Experience working on large-scale, fast-track projects.
A good understanding of M&E systems and construction methodologies.
Strong knowledge of programme logic, dependencies, milestones and critical path analysis.
Experience reviewing and integrating subcontractor programmes.
Good understanding of progress measurement and programme reporting.
The ability to work confidently with Project Managers, engineers, subcontractors, clients and consultants.
Strong communication, analytical and reporting skills.
A basic understanding of emergency power systems would be advantageous.
