Are you a Psychology graduate or an experienced Learning Support Assistant looking to build a career in mental health, education, or clinical psychology

Do you want hands‑on experience supporting young people with anxiety, trauma, and emotional barriers to learning

We are recruiting Learning Support Assistants for a specialist provision in Maidenhead
, supporting students with SEMH needs, emotionally based school avoidance (EBSA), and complex emotional challenges
.
This setting works with young people who have struggled to engage with mainstream education due to:
- Anxiety and depression
- Emotionally based school avoidance (school refusal)
- Trauma and negative educational experiences
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
Your role will be to help students rebuild confidence, trust, and emotional stability
, supporting them to re‑engage with education at their own pace.
You’ll be working in a small, highly supportive environment focused on:
- Emotional regulation
- Strong relationship building
- Personalised and flexible learning approaches
We are hiring for multiple intakes:
- 13th April 2026 (main intake)
- June / July 2026
- September 2026 (new academic year)

- Work collaboratively with staff and external professionals
- Promote independence, resilience, and life skills

- Are Psychology graduates or have relevant experience in care, youth work, or support roles
- Have a genuine interest in mental health and behaviour support
- Are patient, resilient, and emotionally intelligent
- Have strong communication and relationship‑building skills
- Understand how emotional needs impact behaviour and learning
No school experience is required — your attitude, empathy, and commitment are what matter most.
