Position: Performing Arts Lecturer (Dance Specialist)

Lecturer in Performing Arts (Dance Specialist)

Windsor Forest Colleges Group is seeking a part‑time Lecturer in Performing Arts (Dance Specialist) to join the Berkshire College of Agriculture team. This is a fixed‑term position starting 19 August 2026 to 9 July 2027, working 22 hours per week (0.59 FTE) across Monday, Thursday, and Friday.

Salary on Academic Teachers' Pay Scale, ranging from T01 £ 18,808.81 to T11 £ 26,959.51 per annum (£31,633 to £45,341 FTE), dependent on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver the University of the Arts London Level 3 programme, managing the academic cycle from induction through lesson planning, assessment and feedback.
  • Utilise a diagnostic approach and vocational expertise to guide students through the creative process, supporting them to develop dancing and acting skills and ensuring English and Maths are integrated into the curriculum.
  • Work alongside the Performing Arts team—acting teacher and vocal coach—to organise and carry out shows and performances.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement processes and maintain professional links with parents and employers to support student progression.
Qualifications
  • Hold a Level 5 teaching qualification or be willing to work towards one.
  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in a relevant Performing Arts subject area and Level 2 English and Maths qualifications.
  • Recent experience teaching Performing Arts and a demonstrated commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and maintaining a positive learning environment.
