A supportive and inclusive school in Maidenhead is seeking a Mental Health Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with pupils who may need additional emotional and behavioural support within a school setting.
In this role, you will work with children who may be experiencing anxiety, low mood, or other social and emotional challenges. You will play a key role in helping pupils feel supported, understood, and ready to engage with their learning.
As a Mental Health Assistant, you will:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with emotional needs
- Help pupils develop coping strategies and emotional regulation skills
- Support students with engagement and confidence in the classroom
- Work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to provide consistent support
- Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils
- Promote a calm, positive, and inclusive learning environment
This role is ideal for graduates in Psychology, Criminology, or Education, as well as experienced candidates with a background in youth work, care, or support roles.
