SEND Classroom Teacher Maidenhead September Start Monday - Friday | Full-Time £175-£200 per day (PAYE) | Temp-to-Perm Opportunity

We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive SEND school in Maidenhead that is looking for a committed SEND Classroom Teacher to join their experienced team. This is a fantastic temp-to-perm opportunity
, giving you the chance to secure a permanent position within a nurturing and well-supported school community.

This role offers the opportunity to inspire pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them build confidence, develop independence and achieve their full potential in a positive and engaging learning environment. You'll be supported by experienced teaching assistants, senior leaders and specialist staff who are committed to delivering outstanding education for every child.

Your Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to meet individual SEND needs.
  • Create a safe, inclusive and positive classroom environment where every pupil can thrive.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants and specialist professionals to support pupils' progress.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet a range of learning, communication and behavioural needs.
  • Assess, monitor and report on pupil progress, setting achievable learning targets.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
  • Promote positive behaviour, confidence and independence.
  • Follow safeguarding procedures and maintain high standards of pupil welfare at all times.
Requirements Essential
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience working with children with SEND, either in a specialist or mainstream setting.
  • A passion for supporting children with additional needs.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
Desirable
  • Experience teaching pupils with Autism, SEMH, ADHD or complex learning needs.
  • Knowledge of EHCPs and differentiated teaching strategies.
  • Experience working within a specialist SEND school.
