ASD Teaching Assistant - Maidenhead
Are you a Psychology graduate or aspiring education professional looking to gain valuable experience supporting young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)?
A welcoming Secondary SEN School in Maidenhead is seeking a caring and enthusiastic ASD Teaching Assistant to join their team this September. This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring Educational Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists, Therapists, or Teachers looking to build hands‑on experience within a specialist setting.
As an ASD Teaching Assistant, you will:- Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with ASD.
- Encourage confidence, independence, and engagement in learning.
- Support students with communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation.
- Work closely with teachers to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor students' progress and wellbeing throughout the school day.
- Patient, compassionate, and passionate about supporting young people with SEN.
- A confident communicator with a positive and proactive approach.
- Interested in gaining practical experience before a career in psychology, therapy, or education.
- Able to build strong relationships with students and staff.

Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm - Contract:
