SEMH Teaching Assistant - Maidenhead Are you a Psychology graduate eager to gain practical experience supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? A Secondary SEMH School in Maidenhead is seeking a dedicated, compassionate and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their team. This role is ideal for aspiring Educational Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists, Therapists, Counsellors, or Teachers who want to build valuable, hands-on experience working with young people who may experience emotional, behavioural and mental health challenges.

As an SEMH Teaching Assistant , you will:
Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH needs. Help students develop confidence, emotional regulation, resilience and independence. Support students in managing challenging emotions and behaviours in a positive and constructive way. Work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment. We're looking for a SEMH Teaching Assistant who is:
Compassionate, patient and resilient, with a genuine passion for supporting young people. Confident communicating with students who may display challenging or complex behaviours. Interested in gaining practical experience working with SEMH before pursuing a career in psychology, education, therapy or a related field. Able to remain calm and consistent when supporting students through difficult situations. Job Details

Hours:

Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm
