The Supply Planning Manager leads a team of supply planners and optimizes inventory levels across the supply chain network to meet customer service level requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and develop a team of 5–6 Supply Planners, fostering collaboration and performance.
- Prepare and present monthly reports on service levels, excess and obsolete inventory, and stock projections to senior supply chain leadership.
- Deliver service level KPIs while meeting inventory and purchasing objectives.
- Manage product life cycles, ensuring timely introduction of new products and clearance of discontinued items.
- Manage the excess and obsolete stock process including reporting and clearance.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders such as regional marketing, demand planning, product management, finance, manufacturing, and logistics.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and conduct root cause analysis to implement corrective actions.
- Lead projects to create change within supply chain functions and the wider business, including process alignment across the department.
- Define and implement stock policies to optimize working capital, ensure rotation, and maximize service levels.
- Monitor inventory levels against budget and targets, taking proactive steps to mitigate risks.
- Maintain accurate master data to support effective planning outcomes.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Supply Chain management.
- Proven experience in people leadership with strong coaching and motivational skills.
- Experience of process improvement and change management.
- Strong IT proficiency, including Supply and Demand planning software and advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, formulas).
- Highly organized, proactive, and adaptable with a structured approach.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) is preferred.
