Tool Hire Sales Manager – Maidenhead

What You’ll Be Doing

We are recruiting a Hire Manager at Maidenhead Travis Perkins to lead our tool and plant hire department in this busy flagship, Top 100 performing branch. As the new Hire Manager you will drive success, hitting key targets with a sales‑driven, customer‑focused approach.

  • Develop and execute a sales action plan that exceeds budget performance.
  • Support the integration of tool and equipment hire into the wider branch, enhance colleague knowledge and provide training and coaching.
  • Own your P&L, deliver targets and set records, progressing toward Branch Management.
  • Lead a dynamic team of 4 people and oversee dedicated vehicles.

Working hours
:
Monday‑Friday, 7:30 am‑5:00 pm, with 2 Saturdays every 4 weeks (8:00 am‑12:00 pm).

Responsibilities
  • Crush sales goals: develop a winning sales action plan and drive results beyond targets.
  • Coach & train the team in tool hire.
  • Ensure all tools and equipment are safe and ready.
  • Control stock levels to meet demand.
  • Lead the Hire team, train, supervise, and motivate.
  • Offer exceptional customer service and upsell to boost sales.
  • Communicate daily via toolbox talks and effective updates.
Who You Are
  • Experience in tool/plant hire or sales/customer service preferred.
  • Leadership skills – can inspire and keep a team moving.
  • Safety‑focused and vigilant.
  • Proactive and thrives in a fast‑paced environment.
