Team Manager – Assessment Team
Salary up to £66,500

Are you an agency worker looking to step into seniority, or a permanent member of staff not getting the opportunity to progress? Agency roles can be attractive for many reasons (that’s completely understood), and staying put can feel safe — but what could a change offer you?

A rare opportunity has opened up for a Team Manager within Children’s Services at Achieving for Children based in Maidenhead — ideal for an experienced ATM or Advanced Prac ready to take the next step in their career. The team is made up of yourself (the Team Manager) working closely with the Head of Service, directly managing the Assistant TMs, Social Workers and a Family Support Worker, ensuring a close knit, stable environment.

The Package / Benefits:

  • Salary up to £66,500
  • Longstanding and supportive senior leadership team
  • 29days annual leave (rising to 35after 4years)
  • Flexible/agile working opportunities
  • Good Ofsted rating

As Team Manager, you'll lead and support a team of Social Workers to deliver high-quality services. You'll ensure statutory duties and best practices are met, provide case oversight with a clear understanding of risk, and align team plans with strategic objectives.

The role involves managing workflow, overseeing quality through supervision, observation, and audits, and contributing to the development of the quality assurance framework. Strong relationships with internal teams and partner agencies will be key to ensuring effective support and protection for vulnerable children and young people across the county.

Applicants must hold a Social Work qualification and be registered with Social Work England.
