Marketing Director

My client is a world leader in delivering prestigious live events. They’re now seeking an experienced Marketing Director with a strong background in communications to lead the full marketing, brand, digital and communications strategy for a portfolio of major UK live events.

This senior role is ideal for an experienced marketing leader from the sport, entertainment or live events sector who can drive ticket sales, audience growth, brand visibility and commercial performance.

You’ll join the Senior Leadership Team and oversee multi‑channel campaigns, content strategy, PR, media delivery and stakeholder engagement across high‑profile, internationally recognised events.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead strategic marketing and communications planning across all events

* Drive ticket sales, audience development and commercial growth

* Deliver integrated campaigns across digital, social, PR, partnerships and experiential channels

* Oversee content across owned, earned and paid platforms

* Manage media and press operations on‑site at major events

* Lead annual planning, budgeting and forecasting

* Collaborate closely with commercial, operations and production teams

* Manage external agencies (PR, digital, design, box office)

Skills & Experience

* Senior marketing experience in sport, entertainment or large‑scale live events

* Proven success delivering strategic, commercially focused marketing plans

* Strong leadership and team development skills

* Experience managing multi‑channel campaigns and significant budgets

* Experience building or monetising podcasts

* Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities

* Experience in seated/ticketed events, exhibitions or hospitality

* Sponsorship and partnership marketing experience
