Thisis a unique opportunity to design and deliver a major giftsand partnerships strategy, engaging high-net-worth individuals to support globally significant initiatives. You’ll operate as a senior relationship lead securing funding that enables the Foundation’slong-term ambitions.
What you’ll be doingYou’lllead the development and delivery of a strategic approach to major gifts,cultivating a portfolio of high-value donors and partners while identifying new opportunities for growth. This includes engaging directly with high-net-worth individuals and senior corporate stakeholders, creating compelling funding propositions, and securing significant donations and partnerships aligned toCWGF priorities.
Alongside this, you’ll act as a key ambassador for the Foundation, representing the organisation at events, working closely with trustees and senior colleagues,and building relationships that strengthen our reach, reputation and impact ona global scale.
- Strong track record of securing high-value gifts or partnerships
- Be charismatic and confident, with the ability to engage and inspire a wide range of stakeholders
- Be a natural relationship-builder and networker, comfortable operating in high-profile environments
- Demonstrate strong influencing, negotiation and persuasion skills
- Have a target-driven approach to income generation
- Be experienced in developing compelling proposals and funding pitches
- Be organised and capable of managing multiple high-value relationships and priorities simultaneously
The Commonwealth War Graves Commission is an organisation dedicated to honouring and caring for the graves and memorials of servicememberswho died in the two World Wars. The work of the commission is not only out onthe field, but in our head office too, which contributes to the meaningful commemoration of those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
The Commonwealth War Graves Foundation (CWGF) isthe charitable arm of the CWGC. The CWGF highlights the work of the CWGCthrough projects that engage new audiences and find innovative ways to involve the community - through education and outreach, voluntary activity, arts and heritage projects, local research and partnership working.
- 25 days annual leave, rising by 1 day per year of service up to a maximum of 30
- 1 privilege day, half day on Maundy Thursday, paid public holidays and paid time off between Christmas and New Year
