This Learning Support Assistant position places you at the heart of a specialist education setting in Maidenhead , working closely with children and young people with autism, communication differences, sensory needs and learning disabilities. You will support them throughout the school day — helping them access learning, regulate emotions, build independence, and feel safe.

Your Day-to-Day ResponsibilitiesAs a Learning Support Assistant, you will :
Support pupils 1 : 1 and in small groups, helping them access learning and social opportunities
Use positive and trauma-informed strategies to support emotional regulation
Assist with personal care, sensory needs and mobility when required (training provided)
Implement individual support plans developed by teachers and therapy teams
Observe behaviour patterns and communicate concerns appropriately — developing safeguarding awareness
Help create an environment where young people feel safe, respected and empowered

We’d Love to Hear From You If You Have :- Experience in care, youth work, SEN or supporting vulnerable individuals (voluntary or paid)
- A passion for advocating for others and making a meaningful impact
- Patience, empathy and emotional resilience
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine interest in social care, children’s services or SEND pathways
- No previous SEN experience is required — full training is provided.
