Are you an ambitious and passionate Social Worker looking to develop your career within frontline Children's Services?
We are currently supporting a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Social Worker to join the Assessment Service based in Windsor and Maidenhead on a permanent basis. This is an opportunity to join an organisation that is committed to delivering outstanding services for children and families while providing its staff with excellent support, manageable caseloads and genuine opportunities for progression.
About the Role
Working within the Assessment Service, you will be responsible for undertaking timely and high-quality assessments for children and families where concerns have been identified. You will work closely with children, parents and partner agencies to identify strengths, assess risk and determine the most appropriate interventions to ensure children remain safe and achieve positive outcomes.
Your responsibilities will include:
Completing Child and Family Assessments within statutory timescales.
Undertaking Section 17 and Section 47 enquiries where required.
Identifying levels of risk and implementing effective safeguarding plans.
Undertaking direct work with children and families to understand their experiences and needs.
Working collaboratively with education, health, police and other professionals to inform assessment and planning.
Preparing high-quality reports and recommendations for next steps and service planning.
Ensuring children and young people's voices remain central to all decision-making.
About You
To be considered for this opportunity, you will have:
A recognised Social Work qualification.
Registration with Social Work England.
Previous experience within Children's Assessment, Duty or Safeguarding services.
Strong assessment, analytical and report writing skills.
A sound understanding of relevant legislation and statutory guidance.
The ability to build effective relationships with children, families and partner agencies.
