We are seeking an Apprentice Officer Administrator who will not only learn how to undertake a variety of administration duties, but will work towards a recognised qualification (Business Administration Level
3).

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain brilliant business administration skills, within a supportive and caring organisation.

Due to the nature of the service, we are unfortunately unable to accept application from those who are under the age of 18.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday. Working hours are normally 9am-5pm, but flexibility can be offered, this can be discussed with the successful applicant.

Main duties of the job

The key duties of the role will include drafting letters using Microsoft Word, preparing new starter induction packs, typing up notes from discussions that are held in meetings, answering phone calls and providing excellent customer service, monitoring stationery level and placing orders, and other general administration tasks such as photocopying, printing, scanning, and filing.

As this is a level 3 apprenticeship we do require a GCSE level of education.

It is essential that you have previous experience, or be able to demonstrate the ability to undertake administration duties using Microsoft packages, such as Word and Excel, and use IT systems.

You must also be able to demonstrate strong customer service and communication skills.

Job responsibilities

What is an apprenticeship?

An apprenticeship is a paid job where you will learn and gain valuable experience, whilst studying for a recognised qualification. At least 20% of the working week will be dedicated to your studies, and you will be given support from colleagues and managers throughout the process.

You will receive regular contact and meet with your work coach for support. This will enable you to develop skills and progress the building of the apprentice portfolio, to prepare for the End Point Assessment.

Although there is no guarantee that a permanent post will be available at the end of the apprenticeship, many employers are able to retain apprentices in full/part time positions.

The qualifications you gain can also help you to get into higher education or other employment.
