Mobile vehicle technician providing servicing, maintenance and repair, via prebooked appointments, at customers' home address or place of work. This is a new and specialist division for the number one national breakdown company in the UK, with over 15 million members.

Must have right to work in the UK.

Pay / salary: £40,170 basic + bonus (up to £6,000) + overtime at 1.5x (£28.96ph) + company van + fuel card + tools provided. OTE: up to £52,000. Guaranteed overtime option to increase your basic salary.

Job type: Permanent / Full time role

Shift and schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5pm; 1 in 4 Saturdays; 40 hours per week. Optional overtime: 1 day per month (£3,000 additional per year) or 2 days per month (£5,000 additional per year).

Job Responsibilities
  • Servicing and repairing vehicles, including EVs, at customer-select location (e.g., driveway, office car park).
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
  • Diagnose and repair vehicle problems, including engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical issues.
  • Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Communicate with customers about vehicle issues and repair recommendations.
  • Handle payments through card transactions.
  • Keep up to date with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques.
  • Maintain accurate records of all work performed and parts used.
Qualifications
  • Minimum level 2 in light vehicle maintenance and repair or ideally level 3 (City & Guilds, IMI, NVQ, or equivalent). Mechanical engineering level 2 acceptable.
  • Minimum 2-year post‑qualification hands‑on experience with vehicles, either in a workshop or mobile vehicle role.
  • Ability to work independently, make decisions on the go, and follow procedures.
  • Customer‑focused approach.
  • Full UK driving licence – maximum 6 points, no bans.
