Business Development Manager – Facilities Management / Drainage – Maidstone, Kent

£55,000 per annum + Car Allowance

Full Time | Monday to Friday | 8:00am – 5:00pm | Office Based

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development Manager to join a growing and ambitious organisation within the Facilities Management and Drainage sector.

This role is ideal for a driven and commercially focused individual with a proven track record of winning new business within FM or Drainage services. You will play a key role in driving company growth while also maintaining and developing relationships with existing clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Proactively identify, target, and secure new business opportunities within the FM and/or Drainage sectors
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and growth targets
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through to negotiation and contract award
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients
  • Attend client meetings, site visits and networking events as required
  • Prepare and present tailored proposals, quotations and tender submissions
  • Work closely with operational teams to ensure smooth mobilisation of new contracts
  • Account manage existing clients to maximise retention and identify upselling opportunities
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activity and pipeline reporting
Requirements:
  • Proven Business Development experience within Facilities Management or Drainage services
  • Strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Commercially astute with strong relationship-building abilities
  • Self‑motivated, target‑driven, and able to work independently
  • Organised with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and deadlines
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel for client meetings and site visits
