Building Surveyor

Position: Building Surveyor (Permanent)
A UK-based Property and Construction Consultancy is seeking a Building Surveyor to join its London headquarters, supporting projects nationwide. This Building Surveyor role offers exposure to a broad range of Building Surveying disciplines within a multi-service consultancy environment. The Building Surveyor will work closely with senior professionals delivering Building Surveying and related consultancy services across the built environment.

The successful Building Surveyor will be joining an established consultancy operating from London with regional offices across the UK. The business provides a director-led service model and delivers Building Surveying, cost consultancy, building safety, fire engineering and building control services. This Building Surveyor position offers the opportunity to work within a structured and client-focused organisation.

The Role

As the Building Surveyor, you will be involved in the delivery of Building Surveying and property consultancy instructions from initial appointment through to completion. You will work alongside directors and technical teams across multiple service lines.

The role will include:

Delivering Building Surveying instructions across commercial, residential and mixed-use assets

Supporting director-led project delivery and client management

Undertaking building consultancy and advisory services

Contributing to building safety, compliance and risk management services

Assisting with reports, technical documentation and client instructions

Liaising with internal disciplines including cost consultancy, fire engineering and building control

The Building Surveyor?

You will be a motivated Building Surveyor with a construction-related background and experience working within a consultancy environment. Applications from non-construction related surveying backgrounds will not be considered.

The Building Surveyor must have:

A degree in Building Surveying or a related property or construction discipline

Experience delivering Building Surveying services within the UK market

Ability to work directly with clients and senior stakeholders

Experience working within multidisciplinary consultancy teams

Understanding of current issues affecting the property and construction sectors
