A well-established, privately owned house builder is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team on a £20m+ residential development in Maidstone. This is a long-term, site-based opportunity offering exposure to a full project lifecycle on a large scheme, rather than being restricted to a small package as is often the case within a PLC environment. You'll work closely with an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor, gaining hands-on experience across all commercial functions and building a strong platform for career progression.

• Supporting the Senior Quantity Surveyor with day-to-day commercial duties
• Assisting with procurement of subcontractor packages
• Helping prepare valuations, cost reports, and forecasts
• Assisting with variation management and change control
• Supporting subcontractor account management and payments
• Attending site and commercial meetings
• Maintaining accurate commercial records and documentation

• Experience working as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor within construction or house building
• Main contractor or house builder background preferred
• Strong desire to gain site-based experience on a large project
• Good communication, organisational, and numerical skills
• Ambitious, proactive, and keen to progress

• Exposure to a £20m+ residential scheme from early stages through to completion
• Broader responsibility than typically offered within a PLC role
• Direct mentoring from a Senior Quantity Surveyor
• Long-term project stability (2+ years)
• Clear career progression within a growing, non-PLC business
• Salary: £35k - £45k + package (DOE) (Experience dependant)
