Quantity Surveyor - Planned Works; Painting

Position: Quantity Surveyor - Planned Works (Painting)
This is a role for a Quantity Surveyor - Painting who can walk in and take control from day one. Youll be responsible for managing the commercial performance of external planned works programmes, with a strong focus on painting across social housing portfolios. These are live contracts covering balconies, walkways, external decorations and associated refurbishment works where your ability to control cost, recover value and protect margin will directly impact profitability.

WHAT YOULL BE DOING Full commercial ownership of external works packages inc painting Manage contracts end-to-end: pricing, CVR, valuations, variations, final accounts and cash collection Work within SOR and BOQ frameworks Drive performance across painting, decking and external refurbishment programmes Identify and recover variations Manage subcontractors and payments Control cost, margin and cash flow Work closely with site teams Identify and manage commercial risk WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR Experience as a QS in external planned works or social housing Strong knowledge of SOR and BOQ contracts

Experience with painting or similar external works Able to hit the ground running Strong commercial awareness Comfortable in a site-led environment Strong Excel skills Full UK driving licence WHY THIS ROLE This is a hands-on QS role on live external works programmes where commercial control is critical.
