Galliford Try is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor, with Maidstone shown in the posting header. The description seeks someone based in or around the South Coast and able to travel between sites and projects in the region. The advertised schedule is full time.
The surveyor will analyse tender allowances and measure and value works both on site and from drawings. These assessments support valuations, variations and final accounts. Responsibilities include agreeing valuation dates, preparing interim valuations and submitting them to the agreed timetable.
The role includes advice on the terms of main contracts and subcontracts.
It covers:
- design and subcontract procurement
- as well as subcontract payments
- variations
- final accounts
Cost-value reconciliations and cost-to-complete forecasts are further duties. Applicants need main-contractor construction experience, specifically in design and build, together with knowledge of JCT and NEC contract conditions. The employer asks for a degree and membership of RICS or IOB, or progress towards professional membership.
Candidates must be able to work independently and as part of a team. The posting gives no numerical salary range.
