About the Role We are seeking a passionate, creative, and dedicated Drama Teacher with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) to join a welcoming secondary school based in Maidstone. This part-time role is ideal for a dynamic educator who inspires confidence, creativity, and expression in young people.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging and inclusive drama lessons across KS3/KS4, contribute to the performing arts ethos of the school, and support learners of all abilities to achieve their potential.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver high-quality Drama lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
Foster a positive, safe, and supportive classroom environment.
Encourage creativity, collaboration, and confidence through practical and theoretical drama activities.
Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
Contribute to school productions, performances, and extracurricular arts opportunities where required.
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential.
Experience teaching Drama at secondary level.
Strong classroom management skills.
Excellent communication, creativity, and enthusiasm.
Ability to commit to a rotating fortnightly timetable starting 23rd February 2026.
